Dear friends and students of the EPI, we are very excited to announce the release of a new book by Vedanta!

Defensiveness Versus Protectiveness

This manual explores important topics such as defensiveness and protection, and what the difference is between them. It also elaborates on the role of catharsis in the therapeutic process. Catharsis is the catalyst that propels a person’s personal liberation from their conditioning on a psychological, emotional, and body level. Nowadays, in the general field of psychotherapy, there is very little emphasis on the liberation from conditioning, confronting and letting go of ego patterns, and how they appear in the body. All in all, there is little emphasis on transformation. Catharsis and its proper application in the therapeutic process are seldomly understood. Few have really grasped the importance of catharsis and its role in transformation and in the integration of the therapeutic process.

Collaboration with the Eliza association in Geece!

Dear friends and students,

We are deeply excited to announce Vedanta's new collaboration with the Eliza association in Geece! Eliza is a non-profit association that is active in Greece, in the field of prevention and intervention in child abuse. The work of the Eliza association covers a wide range of activities: from a helpline for reporting child abuse, hospital-based child protection units, educational seminars for parents and teachers on the prevention of child abuse, training professionals, and more. Vedanta, together with Dakini and Devi, in collaboration with Eliza and the municipality of Neo Psychiko in Athens, will be offering bi-weekly educational seminars in the public schools of the municipality, starting in October 2024. The seminars will be free of charge, and they will also be broadcasted on zoom. The goal of the Parenting Schools is the creation of a child-centered field where parents can receive the appropriate guidance and support, from the standpoint of utmost respect for the child's psyche, uniqueness and vulnerability. Our wish is that the spreading of the deep knowledge and experiential understanding we offer in the EPI around child development and the importance of the bonding of love, will kindle the flame of truth and vulnerability in parents (and educators), to look deeper in themselves and in their child rearing methods. The ultimate goal is the cherishing and the protection of the utmost vulnerable part of our society and the future of humanity: our children.
